Weinrieder ‘Hӧlzer’ St.Laurent Roter Eiswein (375ML)

Longer than the average period of sun lasted until the beginning of flowering and proceeded under optimal conditions. Painstaking work in the vineyard was necessary to ensure the quality of the harvest. Frozen at -16 ° C the grapes were harvested from the beginning of February. After gentle pressing, the grape has undergone fermentation in steel vats at a temperature of + 20 ° C. May of wine remained on the lees and was bottled in September. Gently red in colour wine presents aromas fully ripe berries. In the mouth reigns black currant, ripe cherries, chocolate and coffee.

St. Laurent is a black grape variety thought to be related to Pinot Noir and commonly grown for red wine in Austria. These grapes come from the Hölzler vineyard. Lots of ageing potential; great with fruit-based desserts.
