Completed with Big Peat’s windswept hair on the label.

This rare Big Peat bottling carries only the finest selected gems of malt whiskies from the Isle of Islay, aged to a minimum of 26 years. Its platinum covered livery reflects the appropriate rare metal to commemorate Douglas Laing’s 70th year since it was founded, in 1948. Consists solely of Islay whiskies. Supremely enjoyable, superbly balanced and mature Islay whisky.
Nose: A maritime nose, with charred barbecued meat, bonfire embers, salt-sprayed rope and seaweed lead into sweeter aromas of raisins, prunes, and honey drizzled porridge.
Palate: Both sweet and salty, with sea spray and milk chocolate, liquorice and a waxy note, with lots of bonfire ash and smoky, earthy peat.
Finish: Waxy orange and orange marmalade, with lots of nutmeg and cinnamon, and a very lengthy note of peat smoke.
