From one of our favorite organic producers in the South of France, the Mas family have been making wine in Herault and the surrounding regions in the Languedoc for well over a hundred years.
This weighty, plush Chardonnay comes from an organic hillside vineyard that benefits from long, warm days and cool evenings brought by breezes from the coast nearby.
The harvest is carried out at night to maximize freshness and is fermented in steel tanks with a small batch fermented in American barrels for a touch of added richness.
Find aromas of candied lime and Anjou pear on the nose whilst on the palette carries notes of burnt toffee and just the slightest touch of spritzy kombucha!
Well worth a try for those who usually shun the Chardonnay grape as there is are ample levels of acidity to create a very balanced and fresh wine here.
