Canaïma is a new Venezuelan gin, produced by the DUSA distillery, the house behind the legendary rum brand Diplomático. 65% of the botanical ingredients that characterize it are from the Amazon.
The plants are macerated and distilled individually in a copper still in small quantities of 500 liters.

The lovely folks over at Diplomatico has made a gin. And not just any gin. One that is comes from the Amazon. Amongst the 19 botanicals, 10 come from the Amazon.
The other 8 are more traditional gin botanicals. Each botanicals is macerated individually before distillation.
They are then blended together to create Canaima Gin. Not only a great gin, but they donated 10% of all sales to NGOs that help indigenous communities and reforestation of the Amazon. Am intense nose that has lots of fruity and floral notes. The palate has plenty of herbaceous and fruity flavours with balance and a fresh after taste. Pairs perfectly with East Imperial Grapefruit Soda.
