The fifth release in Bruichladdich’s Black Art series, and their first with Adam Hannett at the helm following Jim McEwan’s retirement. As ever, don’t expect to find out the Black Art recipe from the Bruichladdich chaps – they’re keeping their lips sealed tight.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Dense vanilla and brown sugar, joined by zesty citrus and tropical fruit.
Palate: Pineapple and mango, cigar box, toasted oak, red berries.
Finish: Creamy and long, with another sweet hint of strawberry.

Single malt whisky has the unique ability to capture and preserve a snapshot in time. This edition of our Black Art, 07.1, is symbolic of a moment in time that should not be forgotten. Signifying the end of an era, 1994 was the year Bruichladdich was closed for what could have been the last time.
